Give me a call. For new AccuQuilt specials, you can check the AccuQuilt web site; I honor the specials they list: accuquilt.com/special-offers.html AccuQuilt specials change frequently. You are welcome to give the store a call to see what they are. Often, I can only tell you what that week's special is, one week at a time. I do the same specials AccuQuilt offers, but you get our personal service. Speaking of AccuQuilt, during the educator event, one of our customers didn't get home with her order. Would you all please check your goodies that you purchased that day, to be sure we didn't send someone's order with you. Her order included a 2 1/2 inch strip cutter, Arkansas Traveler Die, and quite a bit of fabric. She doesn't appear to have her receipt either, so it might be in the bag. News: We hope to get the patterns from the educator event trunk show to those who requested them within this next week. Found items - pair of sunglasses, think these might belong to someone from Malta. Pack the Place in Pink long sleeve tee, left at last quilt retreat. Anniversary Open House - starting our 16th or 17th year, wow! We are moving our celebration forward two weeks this year: November 22 and 23. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we will do an encore on December 6 and 7. Hot spiced cider, cookies, door prizes, and in-store specials those two days. Can you believe it is November already? Where has this year gone? Five Quilt Retreats, one AccuQuilt educator event, the traveling quilt shop event, classes - it's been a busy year. Lots of new fabrics in, and new fabrics on the sale shelves. 2020 Quilt retreats - Cost is $250.00 for three nights, 5 meals, 1 kit. Retreat spaces are filling fast. There are openings in the April 23, 24, 24, 26 retreat, only one left in April 16, 17, 18, 19. October retreats: There are openings in the October 1, 2, 3, 4 retreat. Only one opening left in the Oct 22, 23, 24, 25 retreat. Quilt Retreat Notes: Pay the deposit to hold your spot, no cancellation refunds closer than 2 weeks to the start date. If you are thinking of attending, please call for availability and possibly be placed on a waiting list. My quilt retreats are held at The Barnsion, five miles east of Harlowton. It's a wonderful facility, with bedding and towels furnished. Three evenings; come in on Thursday, leave on Sunday. I like to keep the retreats small with a maximum of 15. Each retreat will include three nights at the Barnsion, three breakfasts, two evening meals, games, prizes, and at least one kit for a small project. You will also have access to the AccuQuilt electric cutter and dies. These are "sew on your own" projects; you should bring whatever you want to sew, although I try to have a fun new project that you can make and take home. One Block Wonder: A One Block Wonder quilt is based on 6 layers of fabric with a 24 inch repeat. Monday Club projects: |
Block Of The Month Club: In 2010, we tackled "The Farmer's Wife", a spectacular quilt made with six inch blocks. See a better picture here. Block of the Month was first offered on Monday nights in 2010, was back by popular demand in 2012 - again in 2013 - and again in 2014. |
GoGo Club: Come in and play with the GO! Cutter and dies. Quilts on this website made with the GO! Cutter are the Bugs quilt #6-1066, this geometric quilt #6-1067, and the rag quilt #6-1024. GoGo Club was a Monday night club in 2010. |
Progressive Quilt: There is no pattern for the progressive quilt - each person creates a quilt center from good quality 100% cotton fabric, and passes the started quilt on to another group member, who adds the next section, and so on. When a quilt has been completed, with care from everyone in the group, it returns to the person who started it to keep. There's a better picture of this quilt in the Gallery. The Progressive Quilt was a Monday night club in 2011. |
