Big electric cutter OR $150.00 rebate. For new AccuQuilt specials, you can check the AccuQuilt web site; I honor the specials they list: accuquilt.com/special-offers.html AccuQuilt specials change frequently. You are welcome to give the store a call to see what they are. Often, I can only tell you what that week's special is, one week at a time. I do the same specials AccuQuilt offers, but you get our personal service. News: FUN NEW EVENT - A National Educator from AccuQuilt's home office in Omaha, Nebraska will be in our store on Thursday, September 19th, starting at 10:00 a.m.. Two classes will be offered: "GO! Beyond the Basics", and "There's a Die For That". You pay $10.00 per class, but that's refundable as store credit the day of the class. An exclusive Arkansas Traveler die will be offered that is only available at the class. I have seen it and it is awesome. These are two hour presentations. More information on the events may be on our Facebook page. September 19th will be a fun and exciting event that you won't want to miss. Early signups (with payment) will go into a drawing for a special prize the day of the event. No limit on the number attending, in fact, the more the merrier. Bring friends - and for each friend signing up with payment, you will have an additional chance to win. There is also an AccuQuilt trunk show featuring some of the dies. New fabrics are arriving weekly. Some gorgeous new batiks are going out on the shelves this week. Congratulations! to the winners of the drawing during the Roundup Quilt Retreat, Sherrie Graybull and Leah Buffington. Fall Quilt Retreats: The 2019 Fall retreats will be 3 weekends in a row, starting on Thursday, October 10. Pay the deposit to hold your spot, no refunds issued after October 1. If you are thinking of attending, please call for availability and possibly placed on a waiting list. I still have a few openings in the third retreat. Start thinking about signing up for the April 2020 retreats. My quilt retreats are held at The Barnsion, five miles east of Harlowton. It's a wonderful facility, with bedding and towels furnished. 2019's quilt retreats have been expanded to three evenings instead of just two. Come in on Thursday, leave on Sunday. The October 2019 dates will be 10th-11th-12th-13th, October 17th-18th-19th-20th (12 participants only), and October 24th-25th-26th-27th. I like to keep the retreats small with a maximum of 15. The cost has increased to $235 because of the extra night and an extra breakfast. Each retreat will include three nights at the Barnsion, three breakfasts, two evening meals, games, prizes, and at least one kit for a small project. This year's project will be a set of coasters, paper pieced, using freezer paper. You will also have access to the AccuQuilt electric cutter and dies. These are "sew on your own" projects; you should bring whatever you want to sew, although I try to have a fun new project that you can make and take home. Don't forget Northcott's Stonehenge Block Party, which started March 15th. Block kits are available at participating shops until September 30th, and the quilt must be submitted by December 31st 2019. Check their web site, Northcott.com, or ask me for details. You could win a trip to England. Classes and Events: September 2 - Monday, closed for Labor Day * September 7 - Saturday, Imagine That Unveiling party September 14 - Stack and Whack (Kaleidoscope) ** September 19 - Thursday - AccuQuilt Educator Event September 21 - Second half of Stack and Whack class (if needed, otherwise, putting everything back in order after the Thursday event) September 28 - the last Mariner's compass class October 5 - UFO October 10-11-12-13 - quilting retreat #1, Thursday-Sunday October 17-18-19-20 - quilting retreat #2 October 24-25-26-27 - quilting retreat #3 October 28 - I'll be at Gally's for a much needed beer with hubby, just kidding, I love doing the quilt retreats. Please call to sign up for classes by the Wednesday preceding the class. If you think of any classes you might be interested in taking, please make suggestions. Any questions, please give me a call. - Diana |
Saturday classes are all day classes starting at 9:30 a.m. and running until 4:30 p.m. |
|
Beginning Quilting: Learn the basics with an easy pattern. This Saturday class runs all day, starting at 9:30 a.m. |

One Block Wonder: A One Block Wonder quilt is based on 6 layers of fabric with a 24 inch repeat. Quilt pieces are cut with a similar technique to those of a Stack and Whack quilt, but the blocks are sewn together differently. Example quilts on this website are #6-1052, #6-1309, and #6-1335. This class may be covered on two Saturdays. If needed, the second Saturday's date and activities will be determined by what works for the students in the class. The class runs all day, starting at 9:30 a.m. |
Needle Turn Applique: Needle turn applique is a hand applique technique. Learn needle turn applique with a small project that can be turned into a pillow, table center, or quilt section. An example quilt on this website is #6-489. Needle Turn Applique is an all-day Saturday class, starting at 9:30 a.m. |

Monday Club projects: |
Block Of The Month Club: In 2010, we tackled "The Farmer's Wife", a spectacular quilt made with six inch blocks. See a better picture here. Block of the Month was first offered on Monday nights in 2010, was back by popular demand in 2012 - again in 2013 - and again in 2014. |
GoGo Club: Come in and play with the GO! Cutter and dies. Quilts on this website made with the GO! Cutter are the Bugs quilt #6-1066, this geometric quilt #6-1067, and the rag quilt #6-1024. GoGo Club was a Monday night club in 2010. |
Progressive Quilt: There is no pattern for the progressive quilt - each person creates a quilt center from good quality 100% cotton fabric, and passes the started quilt on to another group member, who adds the next section, and so on. When a quilt has been completed, with care from everyone in the group, it returns to the person who started it to keep. There's a better picture of this quilt in the Gallery. The Progressive Quilt was a Monday night club in 2011. |
