Store Sales: For store news and subscriber coupons, please ask to be on my mailing list - here's the link to contact methods, so you can send me your email address. Our special from now through the end of January is 30% off regularly priced fabrics, minimum one yard cuts. Kits, precuts, and panels not already on sale are 25% off. Finish a bolt of sale fabric, and the price will be half off the original price. Sewing notions over $10.00 are 20% off. Sale prices do include the new fabrics that just came in - be tempted; they are beautiful! AccuQuilt specials - select dies are discounted up to 40% off. I will have a list available shortly. GoMe's, regularly priced at $99.99, are $49.98 until my current limited stock is gone. These are what used to be called the Baby Goes, and they are being discontinued by AccuQuilt. My GO! Cutter Club meets on January 4 and January 7. There's a new project each month. This club will continue to be held the first Tuesday and Saturday of each month. The club meets at 10:00 a.m. Please let me know your interest a few days ahead of time if you can, so I know how many are coming. (I know that will be a tough one for January.) For new AccuQuilt specials, you can check the AccuQuilt web site; I honor the specials they list: accuquilt.com/special-offers.html AccuQuilt specials change frequently. You are welcome to give the store a call to see what they are. Often, I can only tell you what that week's special is, one week at a time. I do the same specials AccuQuilt offers, but you get our personal service. News: Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and wishing you a Happy New Year. We are closed January 1 and 2, for month end and year end. Back to regular hours starting January 3. Winners in our late November, early December drawing are Renee Carlson, Roundup; Melinda Vennard, White Sulphur Springs; Colleen Smith, Shawmut; Kay Martin, Two Dot; and Sharrie Galt, Martinsdale. Winners, you can pick up your gifts next time you are in the store. A new Tuesday-or-Saturday GO! Cutter Club started December 3rd & 7th. This month's January dates are Saturday the 4th and Tuesday the 7th. Call the store for details. Class starts at 10:00 a.m. New UFO group starting for 2020 - (UFO = UnFinished Objects) I furnish either soup or salad. Whoever doesn't have their project done brings a dessert. Make a list of 6 projects you want to finish in 2020. Call me or stop in, in early January, with your list, and I will let you know which number you need to finish. Our first meeting will be February 15th. Lunch is at 12:00, but you can come early to shop or visit. 2020 Quilt retreats - Cost is $250.00 for three nights, 5 meals, 1 kit. Retreat spaces are filling fast. Pay the deposit to hold your spot. If you are thinking of attending, please call for availability and possibly be placed on a waiting list. Quilt retreat openings - As of New Year's Day, there's still one opening in the April 16, 17, 18, and 19 retreat. Seven openings in April 23, 24, 25, 26. Five openings for October 1, 2, 3 and 4. October 15, 16, 17, 18 and October 23, 24, 25, 26 are full, but you can be put on a waiting list for those two retreats. Cost is $250.00, the retreat includes 3 nights at the Barnsion, 5 meals, prizes, and 1 kit. My quilt retreats are held at The Barnsion, five miles east of Harlowton. It's a wonderful facility, with bedding and towels furnished. 2020's quilt retreats are three evenings; come in on Thursday, leave on Sunday. I like to keep the retreats small with a maximum of 15. Each retreat will include three nights at the Barnsion, three breakfasts, two evening meals, games, prizes, and at least one kit for a small project. You will also have access to the AccuQuilt electric cutter and dies. These are "sew on your own" projects; you should bring whatever you want to sew, although I try to have a fun new project that you can make and take home. One Block Wonder: A One Block Wonder quilt is based on 6 layers of fabric with a 24 inch repeat. Quilt pieces are cut with a similar technique to those of a Stack and Whack quilt, but the blocks are sewn together differently. Example quilts on this website are #6-1052, #6-1309, and #6-1335. This class may be covered on two Saturdays. If needed, the second Saturday's date and activities will be determined by what works for the students in the class. Needle Turn Applique: Needle turn applique is a hand applique technique. Learn needle turn applique with a small project that can be turned into a pillow, table center, or quilt section. Monday Club projects: |
Block Of The Month Club: In 2010, we tackled "The Farmer's Wife", a spectacular quilt made with six inch blocks. See a better picture here. Block of the Month was first offered on Monday nights in 2010, was back by popular demand in 2012 - again in 2013 - and again in 2014. |
GoGo Club: Come in and play with the GO! Cutter and dies. Quilts on this website made with the GO! Cutter are the Bugs quilt #6-1066, this geometric quilt #6-1067, and the rag quilt #6-1024. GoGo Club was a Monday night club in 2010. |
Progressive Quilt: There is no pattern for the progressive quilt - each person creates a quilt center from good quality 100% cotton fabric, and passes the started quilt on to another group member, who adds the next section, and so on. When a quilt has been completed, with care from everyone in the group, it returns to the person who started it to keep. There's a better picture of this quilt in the Gallery. The Progressive Quilt was a Monday night club in 2011. |
