Hours - Monday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you know you are going to be here close to 5:00, please let us know and someone will stay late. Store Sales: February's newsletter coupon gives a one time 25% discount on regularly priced fabrics, kits, batting, precuts, and panels not already on sale. (Minimum 1 yard cuts, and sewing notions that are less than $10.00 are excluded from the discount.) Expires 2/28/2019, may not be used in conjunction with another coupon. For store news and subscriber coupons, please ask to be on my mailing list - here's the link to contact methods, so you can send me your email address. February store special: Christmas fabrics and panels will remain 30% off through the end of February. AccuQuilt special! February 8 through February 14th, all Qube products will be $20.00 off. AccuQuilt Specials change frequently. Expect other specials this month also. Please give the store a call to see what they are. Often, I can only tell you what that week's special is, one week at a time. I do the same specials AccuQuilt offers, but you get our personal service. News: Lots of new fabrics came in January and the first week of February. Now I have to find places to put them. Bali Batik Club February's 12 fat quarters are here. Those that signed up for shipping, I will start shipping on the 10th. There is a free pattern for each month. February's was a lot of pages, which Linda managed to compress into just a few pages, bless her heart. January's fat quarters were very nice, February's are great. Color themed each month. I will be ordering a couple of books that are related to fat quarter quilts. There's still time to start - 12 months of Mariners Compass class started in January. So far my participants are having fun. Next month's blocks will be a bit more complex. Our new Imagine That Club started in September with a new fat quarter. It's not too late to join the fun. Your $5.00 payment for the fat quarter joins the prize pool for the year. Our project unveiling date will be September 6, 2019. Everyone gets the same fat quarter, to make whatever their imagination tells them to (except pot holders.) The fat quarter material can be combined with any other fabrics, as long as it is used in the project. UFO club will meet Saturday February 9th. I hear we are going to have lots of desserts. Sun Dog Coffee's baked goods are very tasty and their lunch specials are also quite good. Sun Dog is open from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. It is located on the corner of Central and Highway 12, across from the train engine. And of course, there is Galleys, our local brewery which opens at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Galleys is a nice place to send your hubby while you shop. Quilt Retreats: My quilt retreats are held at The Barnsion, five miles east of Harlowton. It's a wonderful facility, with bedding and towels furnished. 2019's quilt retreats have been expanded to three evenings instead of just two. Come in on Thursday, leave on Sunday. The cost has increased to $235 because of the extra night and an extra breakfast. Each retreat will include three nights at the Barnsion, three breakfasts, two evening meals, and at least one kit for a small project. April's project will be a crazy quilt wall hanging. I do have a couple of openings in the April 4, 5, 6 and 7 retreat. There are also some openings in the October retreats. These are "sew on your own" projects; you should bring whatever you want to sew, although I try to have a fun new project that you can make and take home. Any questions or to sign up, please call the store at 406-632-4861. April 2019 dates will be 4th-5th-6th-7th and 11th-12th-13th-14th. October 2019 dates are 10th-11th-12th-13th, October 17th-18th-19th-20th (12 participants only), and October 24th-25th-26th-27th. I like to keep the retreats small with a maximum of 15. Classes and Events: February 9 - UFO Club February 16 - Beginning Quilting February 23 - 12 Months of Mariner's Compasses March 2 - Fracture Class (rescheduled from February 2) - Take 4 panel sections and fracture them for something different March 9 - no class March 16 - No class, in case I want to take the weekend and do something for my birthday and our anniversary, which happen on the 19th and 20th March 23 - Mariner's Compass Class Please call to sign up for classes by the Wednesday preceding the class. If you think of any classes you might be interested in taking, please make suggestions. Any questions, please give me a call. - Diana |

Join the sewing fun at Diana's Quilts-n-Things! My quilting groups are friendly gatherings where you can concentrate, share, work, and learn. My store has special equipment and work space for quilters to use, and lots of materials and patterns. Come on in to work on your projects - where everything you need is at hand, including new techniques and experienced advice. PREPARATIONS: If a club or class member is bringing a guest, or if you want to attend a single session, or if you are a class subscriber and want to switch Saturdays, please contact Diana beforehand. 1st Saturday of each month in 2017 was Sew Saturday sewing quilts for charity - all hands are welcome, no fee, potluck. It does help if you let me know you are planning to attend. Fabric donations are welcome! My Imagine That Club is an annual challenge. Each Imagine That Club participant receives a free fat quarter of a select fabric to inspire a project, and then works at home to create whatever they imagine from it. An Imagine That project can be a quilt, a wall hanging, or whatever someone wants to make. There is just one limitation: "NO potholders, please." Use your Imagination! Your project can be any size and may include other fabrics as you like, but it must include at least part of the fat quarter. (Small pieces count.) In August or September all the participants will get together for an Unveiling Party with food and prizes. $5 participation fee, open to anyone. If you have questions on any of these, please give me a call. (406-632-4861) |

One Block Wonder: A One Block Wonder quilt is based on 6 layers of fabric with a 24 inch repeat. Monday Club projects: |
Block Of The Month Club: In 2010, we tackled "The Farmer's Wife", a spectacular quilt made with six inch blocks. See a better picture here. Block of the Month was first offered on Monday nights in 2010, was back by popular demand in 2012 - again in 2013 - and again in 2014. |
GoGo Club: Come in and play with the GO! Cutter and dies. Quilts on this website made with the GO! Cutter are the Bugs quilt #6-1066, this geometric quilt #6-1067, and the rag quilt #6-1024. GoGo Club was a Monday night club in 2010. |
Progressive Quilt: There is no pattern for the progressive quilt - each person creates a quilt center from good quality 100% cotton fabric, and passes the started quilt on to another group member, who adds the next section, and so on. When a quilt has been completed, with care from everyone in the group, it returns to the person who started it to keep. There's a better picture of this quilt in the Gallery. The Progressive Quilt was a Monday night club in 2011. |
