Hours - Monday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you know you are going to be here close to 5:00, please let us know and someone will stay late. Store Sales: For store news and subscriber coupons, please ask to be on my mailing list - here's the link to contact methods, so you can send me your email address. My November Coupon Special applies to regularly priced fabrics, pre-cuts, kits not already on sale, and batting - minimum 1 yard cuts. Patterns and books are not included. Sewing notions under $10.00 are also not included. There will be special sales starting on Black Friday, running a full week through our Anniversary Open House days November 30 and December 1. Note that you can still take advantage of the specials that week if you have already used a newsletter coupon in November. AccuQuilt specials change frequently. Please give the store a call to see what they are. Often, I can only tell you what that week's special is, one week at a time. I do the same specials AccuQuilt offers, but you get our personal service. News: Diana's Quilts -n- Things Anniversary Open House - November 30 and December 1st - The celebration features special sales, door prizes, hot spiced cider, and cookies. *New!* starting in January - 12 months of Mariners Compass class. The beginning date will be revealed in next month's email newsletter. Our new Imagine That Club started in September with a new fat quarter. Your $5.00 payment for the fat quarter joins the prize pool for the year. Our project unveiling date will be September 6, 2019. Everyone gets the same fat quarter, to make whatever their imagination tells them to (except pot holders.) The fat quarter material can be combined with any other fabrics, as long as it is used in the project. Sun Dog Coffee Shop will be opening in Harlowton in November. It is located on the corner of Central and Highway 12, across from the train engine. Quilt Retreats: My quilt retreats are held at The Barnsion, five miles east of Harlowton. It's a wonderful facility, with bedding and towels furnished. The cost is $175.00, which includes two nights, 4 meals, and at least one kit. These are "sew on your own" projects, you should bring whatever you want to sew, although I try to have a fun new project that you can make and take home. Any questions or to sign up, please call the store at 406-632-4861. April 2019 dates will be 5th-6th-7th and 12th-13th-14th. October 2019 dates are 11th-12th-13th, October 18th-19th-20th (12 openings only), and October 25th-26th-27th. I like to keep the retreats small with a maximum of 15. Update - We may be adding a day, so that quilters can come in on Thursday, and still leave on Sunday. An extra day will increase the cost. I have to discuss this with the Barnsion owners before a final decision is made. If you have signed up, please let me know your preference about number of days. Classes and Events: Special class, November 10, marriage of Sunbonnet Sue (AccuQuilt die) to Janome's Embroidery Machine 500e. Linda DeCock will be teaching this class, demo 10:00 a.m. to noon. In the afternoon, there will be a hands-on class. If you have an embroidery machine, bring it with along with hoops, thread, stabilizer, and USB stick (or whatever your machine uses) in the afternoon, to learn how to use the downloads from AccuQuilt. November 3 - Twelve months of table runners *November 10 - Special class on embroidery and AccuQuilt dies, see above November 17 - UFO Club November 22 - closed for Thanksgiving. **November 23 through December 1st - Extended Black Friday Sale! ***November 30 and December 1 - Anniversary open house, sales, door prizes, hot spiced cider and cookies December 1 - Last day of Anniversary open house and extended Black Friday sale December 23, 24, 25 - closed for Christmas - enjoy your holiday! Join the sewing fun at Diana's Quilts-n-Things! My quilting groups are friendly gatherings where you can concentrate, share, work, and learn. My store has special equipment and work space for quilters to use, and lots of materials and patterns. Come on in to work on your projects - where everything you need is at hand, including new techniques and experienced advice. PREPARATIONS: If a club or class member is bringing a guest, or if you want to attend a single session, or if you are a class subscriber and want to switch Saturdays, please contact Diana beforehand. 1st Saturday of each month in 2017 was Sew Saturday sewing quilts for charity - all hands are welcome, no fee, potluck. It does help if you let me know you are planning to attend. Fabric donations are welcome! My Imagine That Club is an annual challenge. Each Imagine That Club participant receives a free fat quarter of a select fabric to inspire a project, and then works at home to create whatever they imagine from it. An Imagine That project can be a quilt, a wall hanging, or whatever someone wants to make. There is just one limitation: "NO potholders, please." Use your Imagination! Your project can be any size and may include other fabrics as you like, but it must include at least part of the fat quarter. (Small pieces count.) In August or September all the participants will get together for an Unveiling Party with food and prizes. $5 participation fee, open to anyone. If you have questions on any of these, please give me a call. (406-632-4861) |

One Block Wonder: A One Block Wonder quilt is based on 6 layers of fabric with a 24 inch repeat. Monday Club projects: |
Block Of The Month Club: In 2010, we tackled "The Farmer's Wife", a spectacular quilt made with six inch blocks. See a better picture here. Block of the Month was first offered on Monday nights in 2010, was back by popular demand in 2012 - again in 2013 - and again in 2014. |
GoGo Club: Come in and play with the GO! Cutter and dies. Quilts on this website made with the GO! Cutter are the Bugs quilt #6-1066, this geometric quilt #6-1067, and the rag quilt #6-1024. GoGo Club was a Monday night club in 2010. |
Progressive Quilt: There is no pattern for the progressive quilt - each person creates a quilt center from good quality 100% cotton fabric, and passes the started quilt on to another group member, who adds the next section, and so on. When a quilt has been completed, with care from everyone in the group, it returns to the person who started it to keep. There's a better picture of this quilt in the Gallery. The Progressive Quilt was a Monday night club in 2011. |
