* November 14th through the 22nd is the Holiday Stroll.  There are 13 shops participating, including 4 in Billings, two each in Bozeman and Livingston, Laurel, Absarokee, Red Lodge, Big Timber and Harlowton.  Each store will have a 18 inch finished block kit available for sale.  The theme for the Holiday Stroll is Winter Woods.  I will do a door prize drawing that week and will have some additional in-store specials for the week.

Like coupons?  This month's coupon gives a one time 25% discount on fabrics, sewing notions and patterns.  (Some exceptions - books, magazines, embroidery thread, applique precuts.  Regular precuts are eligible.)  The coupon expires 11/30/2014.  Happy note: A coupon may be shared with a friend who is not on my mailing list.  To sign up for my mailing list, send me your email address.

Nov.15 The 3rd Saturday of each month is Sew Saturday sewing quilts for charity - all hands are welcome, no fee, potluck.  It does help if you let me know you are planning to attend.  Fabric donations are welcome!  This month we are sewing quilt tops for the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch's fundraising.

IMAGINE THAT  The new Imagine That Club is accepting members for the coming year.  Each Imagine That Club participant will receive a free fat quarter of a select fabric to inspire a project, and then will work at home to create whatever they imagine from it.  An Imagine That project can be a quilt, a wall hanging, or whatever someone wants to make.  There is just one limitation:  "NO potholders, please."  Use your Imagination!  Your project can be any size and may include other fabrics if you like, but it must include at least part of the fat quarter.  (Small pieces count.)  In August or September 2015 all the participants will get together for an Unveiling Party with food and prizes.  $5 participation fee, open to anyone.

Nov.22 We have completed ten months of the 12 months of Christmas.  Each month is a different project with different techniques.  This month, please bring all unfinished projects to work on, and get one more quick and easy project.  For anyone who isn't signed up for the full year, each individual month's classes are available for a charge of $25.00 per class, plus the cost of the kit.  If you want to join in but aren't signed up, call me by Wednesday November 12th, so I can have a kit ready for you.

Join the sewing fun at Diana's Quilts-n-Things!

My quilting groups are friendly gatherings where you can concentrate, share, work, and learn.  My store has special equipment and work space for quilters to use, and lots of materials and patterns.  Come on in to work on your projects - where everything you need is at hand, including new techniques and experienced advice.

I offer two types of year-long subscriptions.

My Monday Club, "Diana's Quilts -n- Things Exclusive Membership Club", meets for a two-hour evening session on each Monday of every month.  The Monday Club meets outside of store hours, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Members always get a 25% members' discount on fabrics, sewing notions, and patterns.  (Some exceptions apply: embroidery thread, post card patterns, quilt magazines, buttons, books, and applique precuts.)  Club membership is $149 for the year (an over $300 value).
This year's projects are Block of the Month (1st Monday), 12 Months of Christmas (3rd Monday), and two UFO Nights (2nd and 4th Mondays).
The 2014 Monday Club Block of the Month will include two quilts.  The first one is a 7 month project.  Kits will receive the 25% members' discount.

Or, take a Saturday class once each month this year for a single $149 fee.  My 2nd Saturday of the month class will be a Tadashi Gardens Block of the Month quilt, starting February 8th.
4th Saturday of the month classes this year are themed the 12 Months of Christmas.  A different project and technique will be featured each month.  It's a great way to have Christmas projects for gifts all ready by the Holidays!

Individual 2nd or 4th Saturday of the month class attendance without subscription costs $25.  Please note that some classes have additional project materials charges.

Do you love to quilt, and both Saturday plans sound great?  Take half price off the second subscription - that's both Saturday classes, all year, for only $223.50.  Wow.

PREPARATIONS: If a club or class member is bringing a guest, or if you want to attend a single session, or if you are a class subscriber and want to switch Saturdays, please contact Diana beforehand.

1st Saturday of the month classes do not have a subscription available.  Their fees vary by topic.  See the website Events page for my plans each month, and please call to enroll.

If you cannot make it to one of your regular sessions, or if Saturdays just don't work for you in general, please contact Diana to see if an alternate date can be set for you.

3rd Saturday of each month is Sew Saturday sewing quilts for charity - all hands are welcome, no fee, potluck.  It does help if you let me know you are planning to attend.  Fabric donations are welcome!

My Imagine That Club is an annual challenge.  Each Imagine That Club participant receives a free fat quarter of a select fabric to inspire a project, and then works at home to create whatever they imagine from it.  An Imagine That project can be a quilt, a wall hanging, or whatever someone wants to make.  There is just one limitation:  "NO potholders, please."  Use your Imagination!  Your project can be any size and may include other fabrics if you like, but it must include at least part of the fat quarter.  (Small pieces count.)  In August or September all the participants will get together for an Unveiling Party with food and prizes.  $5 participation fee, open to anyone.

If you have questions on any of these, please give me a call. (632-4861)

Monday Club projects:

The Farmer's Wife quilt Block Of The Month Club:
In 2010, we tackled "The Farmer's Wife", a spectacular quilt made with six inch blocks.  See a better picture here.

Block of the Month was first offered on Monday nights in 2010, was back by popular demand in 2012 - again in 2013 - and now again in 2014.  This is the first year I have offered this as a Saturday class also.

Unfinished project pieces UFO Club:
Work on those UnFinished Objects.

Actual progress.  What could be better?

A quilt made with the GO! Cutter. GoGo Club:
Come in and play with the GO! Cutter and dies.

AccuQuilt logo

Quilts on this website made with the GO! Cutter are the Bugs quilt #6-1066, this geometric quilt #6-1067, and the rag quilt #6-1024.

GoGo Club was a Monday night club in 2010.

Detail from Progressive quilt Progressive Quilt:
There is no pattern for the progressive quilt - each person creates a quilt center from good quality 100% cotton fabric, and passes the started quilt on to another group member, who adds the next section, and so on.  When a quilt has been completed, with care from everyone in the group, it returns to the person who started it to keep.  There's a better picture of this quilt in the Gallery.

The Progressive Quilt was a Monday night club in 2011.

Scaregirl wall hanging (detail) Seasonal Club:
We enjoy making small projects related to the seasons.  Wall hangings, table runners, and other fun fabric art items make it easy to dress up our homes.

The Seasonal Club was a Monday night club in 2012.
